With a 75 year history and a diversified dryland and irrigation land base, Chin Ridge grows, processes and distributes pedigreed seed, bird food, pet food, and specialty seed products to customers across across Canada.

Annie Bergeron

Director, Quebec

Annie is the CEO for Les Grains Semtech in St-Pie, Quebec. For over 28 years, Les Grains Semtech has specialized in processing and treating soybean seed for various brands, as well as conditioning seed for export customers.  Working in the seed industry for 15 years, Annie is also the founder and manager of an Accredited Seed Crop Inspection Service.  

Greg Hannam

Director, Ontario

Greg is a seed grower and cash crop farmer in the Guelph area - growing corn, wheat and soybeans in a no-till, minimum-till operation.  Greg operates Woodrill Ltd., a crop input and grain elevator business that supplies products, services and advice for the farming community of south central Ontario.

John Hildebrand

Director, Saskatchewan

John is the Bulk Seed Merchant for Federated Co-operatives Limited. With deep roots in agriculture, FCL is dedicated to growing ag businesses. As a source of crop inputs, fertilizer and animal feed, FCL and retail co-operatives provide farmers and ranchers with innovative technologies and solutions to make their operations more productive and sustainable.

Rick Van Laecke

Chair, Ontario

Rick is the current Chair of the SeCan Board. Rick is the co-owner (along with his wife Angela) and the president of Horizon Seeds Canada Inc. Located in Courtland, Ontario, Horizon grows and processes seed corn and seed soybeans for both wholesale and retail markets. Celebrating 10 years in business, Horizon is proud to be a family-operated company, supplying a Canadian product with premium quality.

Lyndon Olson

Vice-Chair, Saskatchewan

Lyndon is the current Vice-Chair of the SeCan Board. Lyndon and his family have operated a progressive seed and commercial grain farm for over 30 years in north east Saskatchewan, specializing in cereals, food grade oats, canola, flax, peas, beans and forage seed. Seed Source Inc. processes seed for the retail and wholesale industry. Lyndon is an agriculture alumni from the University of Saskatchewan and has been involved with several community and provincial organizations.

Craig Riddell

Director, Manitoba

Craig operates Riddell Seed Co. with his wife Colleen at Warren, MB producing pedigreed seed of a wide range of crops.  The farm grows and processes certified seed for the domestic retail market and also specializes in early generation seed increase for a number of domestic and international customers.
